General Manager Designate Opportunity

A premium hospitality business is seeking a dynamic professional to join its team as a Designate General Manager.

Hall & Woodhouse Ltd, a family-owned company with over 247 years of history, is recruiting a Designate General Manager to support various General Managers in the Wiltshire, Somerset, and Devon region. The successful candidate will participate in a development program designed to prepare them for full responsibility in managing a business.

About the role:

  • Able to lead and inspire a team within a demanding complex hospitality operation
  • Residing in the Wiltshire or Somerset area or planning to relocate
  • An expert with a comprehensive knowledge of quality food and drink, with an eye for detail
  • A strategic thinker with a proven record of business development within a branded pub context
  • Diligent about ensuring that routine procedures are followed
  • Well-presented with good awareness and an analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Able to commit to work within the GM development program at various locations
  • Determined to develop and maintain outstanding hospitality for our guests
  • A great host who gets a buzz from making people's day

  • Prior experience in a similar role or a related field
