About the Role:

This is a wonderful opportunity to support children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working in a very well-facilitated SEN school in Harlow, with an excellent track record for supporting SLD and PMLD. The school has a wonderful and supportive SLT, and you will be part of a team that is passionate about inclusive education and the positive impact you can make on young people's lives.

The students you will be supporting will have SLD and PMLD, including Autism and will be non-verbal or have limited verbal language. You will need to have a calm and nurturing demeanour to help with behavioural and emotional regulation when behaviours are challenging. You will also need to be positive, patient, proactive, and engaging, with the ability to use PECS, Makaton, and visual timetables.

This is a permanent SEN Teaching Assistant contract available for the right individual, and you will be supporting the students for the full academic year. If you are committed to personal development and learning specialist skills, and are passionate about supporting students with SEND, then this could be the ideal role for you.
