Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting and Bookkeeping Clerk to join our team at Spencer Clarke Group Ltd.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Xero and strong accounting systems and processes. They will be responsible for client bookkeeping, reconciliations, and adjustments, as well as VAT returns and CIS returns.

  • This is a full-time position based in Chester, UK, offering a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role:

This role involves working closely with clients to understand their financial needs and providing expert advice on accounting systems and processes. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Client bookkeeping, reconciliations, and adjustments
- VAT returns
- Client relationships
- Invoice posting and scanning
- CIS returns

Requirements:

- Xero experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems and processes
- VAT return processes
