Clinical Governance Lead

LCW UCC is a clinically-led, social enterprise provider of integrated urgent and primary care services to the NHS. We are seeking a values-led, clinically trained professional to join our Board as a Non-Executive Director. The role requires attendance at board meetings, committee meetings, and annual general meetings. This is not an employed position but is a fixed-term engagement for 3 years. The estimated salary for this position is £13,000 per annum plus additional payment for agreed committee roles.
Key Responsibilities:
The Non-Executive Director will ensure the Board fulfils its responsibilities and role and acts in accordance with its Constitution. They will support the CEO to deliver LCW's Strategy and Annual Integrated Business Plan and optimise the relationship between the Board and staff and with the CEO to promote the organisation, protecting its brand, and representing the organisation effectively to external stakeholders.
Requirements:
Essential qualifications include a qualified practicing clinician. Strong governance skills, knowledge of Health and Safety regulation and requirements, and knowledge of the NHS environment are also essential. In addition, experience of service provision in primary care, urgent and remote healthcare, operating at a senior level within organisations, strong communication and listening skills, and the ability to quickly and effectively gain an understanding of LCWs working environment are required.
