About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Protection Manager to join our team at esure. As a key member of our privacy and data protection team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our privacy and data protection framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK GDPR and other regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate data protection risks.
- Assist in responding to data breaches, including investigation, remediation, and reporting.
- Provide training and awareness sessions on data protection and privacy best practices.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive data protection practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in privacy and data protection, ideally in financial services.
- Strong knowledge of Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, PECR, and ICO guidance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Law, or related field; advanced degree or GDPR & IAPP CIPP/E and/or CIPM certifications preferred.
