Unlock your potential in a dynamic healthcare environment at Practice Plus Group, a leading provider of primary care services. We are seeking an experienced Medical Specialist to join our team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B remand prison located in Oxfordshire.

The site offers a 24/7 healthcare service, and as a Medical Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering end-to-end care to patients with long-term conditions, substance misuse, or mental health issues. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care and make a meaningful difference in their lives.

As part of this role, you will conduct ward rounds on a 21-bed inpatient unit with a high level of elderly care and complete evening receptions. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting the well-being of patients and contributing to the success of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive medical care to patients with long-term conditions, substance misuse, or mental health issues
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care
  • Conduct ward rounds and complete evening receptions as required
  • Develop and implement effective care plans to meet individual patient needs

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A strong background in general practice, with experience in long-term care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
