Global Sales Forecasting Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Supply Chain Planner to join our team at DS Smith. As a key member of our supply chain function, you will be responsible for delivering accurate sales forecasts and driving process improvements across the organization.
Your primary focus will be on improving the accuracy of volume forecasts to prevent supply issues and standardizing forecasting and budgeting processes to enhance resource efficiency within Sales and Commercial Finance.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Sales, and Marketing, as well as Supply Chain and Operations, to ensure seamless execution of the Global Sales Forecasting Tool project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust sales forecasting models to inform business decisions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deploy the Global Sales Forecasting Tool
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in forecasting and budgeting processes
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales forecasting, demand planning, or a related field
- Advanced skills in MS Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with financial modeling and Power BI
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
What We Offer:
