Child and Family Practitioner

This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician to further their skills in a role that makes a positive impact in young people's lives within an innovative CAMHS service. The successful candidate will work as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner within one of the CAMHS community teams, delivering high-quality evidence-based systemic interventions for referred young people in collaboration with professional colleagues and clinical services.
The training and service experience will equip the post holder with the necessary knowledge, attitude, and capabilities to operate effectively in an inclusive, value-driven service. The post provides the opportunity to complete training in Systemic Family Practice (SFP) delivering evidence-based systemic interventions for children and young people experiencing depression and self-harm or conduct disorder.
Main Responsibilities- Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality evidence-based systemic interventions for referred young people.
- Work collaboratively with professional colleagues and clinical services to ensure continuity of care.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with young people, families, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.
- Normally a minimum of a second-class Bachelor's degree from a UK University or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- A registerable professional qualification (e.g., as a counselling/clinical/educational psychologist, social worker, mental health nurse, occupational therapist).
- Registration with HCPC/NMC/social work England.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
