About the Role

As an Onsite Service Engineer with Capgemini, you will play a key role in supporting our clients' End User Experience (EUE) needs. This exciting opportunity will see you join our dynamic team, working closely with our clients to deliver exceptional support and services.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd line support for resolving incidents to SLA.
  • Ensure completion of assigned works within allocated timeframes and undertake Project Tasks, supporting both internal and external Project Managers.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Level 3 teams to highlight major level issues.
  • Find resolution of technical issues for laptop/desktop hardware, networks, printers, etc.
  • Install & configure software and hardware.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • An in-depth knowledge and good understanding of Microsoft Windows OS (Windows 11 & Windows 10), including build, configuration and registry settings is required, along with a level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • An appreciation of the Microsoft Exchange environment, email client configuration, MS Outlook, instant messaging tools, along with general etiquette and working Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) software (ServiceNow), basic level understanding in SCCM/Active Directory and a working knowledge of IT service models.
  • Computer peripherals - including but not limited to printers (including MFD's), display screens, docking stations, port replicators, cameras and scanners.
  • Excellent customer interface, customer service skills and some flexibility with working hours when needed.
  • Networks experience to include an understanding of LAN/WAN/vLAN and Wi-Fi technologies, DHCP, DNS/WINS, PXE and VPN/remote connectivity.

Security Clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
