Mental Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients with mental health conditions in a prestigious private hospital near Southampton.
This is a temporary opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and evaluations to inform treatment plans.
- Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans to ensure patient-centered care.
- Administer medications and monitor their effects to ensure patient safety.
- Provide support and counseling to patients and their families to promote mental well-being.
- Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed to ensure patient safety.
- Monitor patients' progress and report any changes to the medical team to inform treatment decisions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and hospital policies to maintain a safe and effective care environment.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options to promote informed decision-making.
- Promote mental health awareness and advocate for patients' needs to ensure patient-centered care.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior nursing staff and nursing students to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
- Education: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
- Licensure: Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
- Experience: Previous experience in a mental health setting is essential.
