Mental Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Sensible Staffing. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and evaluations to identify patients' needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and monitor their effects, ensuring the highest level of patient safety.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
- Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed, utilizing your expertise to de-escalate situations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to deliver comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring seamless communication with the medical team.
- Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to the development of effective care plans.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and hospital policies, upholding the highest standards of patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options, empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Promote mental health awareness and advocate for patients' needs, fostering a culture of understanding and support.
- Education: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
- Licensure: Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
- Experience: Previous experience in a mental health setting is essential, with a strong understanding of mental health conditions and treatment options.
