Radiation Protection Specialist Role
This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic team at Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International Group, to support the delivery of innovative projects. The successful candidate will have a role that's out of the ordinary, with a focus on radiation protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead on radiation protection for projects, including supporting and mentoring junior staff.
- Contribute to project scheduling, including definition of relevant deliverables, identification of dependencies, and estimating resourcing, time, and cost requirements.
- Support radiological safety to ensure legislative compliance and adoption of industry best practice.
- Liaison with multi-disciplinary teams across design and operational projects and ensuring that procedures are correctly applied to technical activities.
- Support the coordination of radiological protection documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a radiation role.
- Degree in Maths, Science, or a related field.
- Ability to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.
