About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Carlisle. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being through proactive interventions and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify risks and needs of children and families.
- Develop and implement protection plans to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
- Work in partnership with families, schools, health services, and other professionals to deliver coordinated interventions.
- Attend and participate in child protection case conferences, strategy meetings, and core group meetings.
- Provide timely and accurate reports for court proceedings, safeguarding reviews, and care planning meetings.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Significant experience working in child protection or safeguarding roles.
- Strong understanding of child protection legislation, safeguarding procedures, and relevant policies.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage a complex caseload and work effectively under pressure.
