Specialist Paediatrician in Community Healthcare

About the Role
The community paediatric team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist paediatric services for children in Cumbria. The team works closely with colleagues in the NCIC Community Children's Services, Primary Care, and Cumbria County Council Children's Services.
Main Duties
The post-holder will work within a Cumbria county-wide team of community paediatricians, providing services to children and young people from 0-18 years. The team assesses and manages children with developmental difficulties, neurodevelopmental conditions, emotional and behavioural problems, and safeguarding concerns.
Health Assessment
The post-holder will conduct health assessments for children looked after, children being adopted, and children being assessed for an Education, Health and Care Plan.

Person Specification
Qualifications
The post-holder must hold an MB or equivalent, MRPCH or equivalent, and full registration with the GMC. Desirable qualifications include an MSc in Paediatric Neuro-disability and being on the GMC specialist register for Community Child Health.
Experience
The post-holder must have experience of Paediatrics, with desirable experience in Community Paediatrics and a special interest in Community Child Health.
Skills
The post-holder must have experience and clinical skills in child development and childhood disability, be able to assess children and young people for ASD, and have competent health assessment skills for children looked after and children being adopted.
