Oakbank Care Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary

This role involves leading our care team, ensuring residents receive the highest standard of care, and creating a warm and supportive environment.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative team ethos, respecting diversity and promoting a supportive environment for all staff.
  • Visitor Interaction: Welcome visitors and show prospective residents and families around the home's facilities.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency call bells, assess situations, and provide or call for assistance as needed.
  • Documentation: Write and update care plans, risk assessments, and case notes, ensuring they reflect residents' needs and wishes.
  • Professional Development: Participate in staff meetings, training, and e-learning, taking responsibility for your own growth and development.
  • Health and Safety: Be aware of and adhere to Health and Safety policies, including COSHH, and escalate concerns to management.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is essential. We also welcome applications from experienced Care Assistants actively working towards their Level 3.
  • Medication Training: Practical Medication Administration with competencies is required.
  • Compassionate Nature: A kind, caring, and compassionate personality with a sense of fun and a commitment to person-centred care.
What We Offer
  • Salary: £13-£13.50 per hour DOE (approximately £25,000 - £28,000 per year)
  • Work Schedule: Full Time or Part Time Available
  • Shift Options: Dayshift or Nightshift
  • Benefits: Pension, Onsite Parking, Paid PVG, Uniform Provided
  • Holidays: 5.6 Weeks Annual Leave (Based on a full-time contract)
