About the Role

The Health Records Officer plays a vital role in providing administrative support to the Health Records Department, ensuring an efficient and effective service to all users.

This position is part of the Trust's Digital Services Team, which offers opportunities for shared learning, professional development, and career advancement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retrieve and file case notes in accordance with Trust Policies, KPIs, and departmental SOPs.
  • Identify and filter case notes to ensure data corresponds with the Patient Administration System (PAS) and meets information governance standards.
  • Review storage of case notes on and off-site for retention and destruction.
  • Assist other areas of the department as needed.
Working Environment

This role will be based in the Scanning team and will be mainly desk-based, although may require occasional assistance in other areas of the department.

Occasional travel to other hospital sites may be required.
