About Us:

Canonical is a pioneer of global distributed collaboration with colleagues in 75+ countries and few office based roles. Teams meet two to four times yearly in person to align on strategy and execution.

Your Role:

You will be responsible for providing HR guidance to team members and managers, partnering with line managers to provide employee relations advice, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing employee changes, managing and driving benefit programs, liaising with our finance team, supporting the full life-cycle of HR, applying critical thinking to automate administrative tasks, taking a lead role in the management of our HR system, acting as a system expert and advocate, producing data driven reports, leading and participating in projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Brazilian or Canadian HR practices and employment laws, knowledge of US and other Americas laws and practices, self-directed, organised problem solving skills, ability to prioritise and meet goals and deadlines, demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, sound judgement, tact and diplomacy in all communications, fearless and principled approach to professional interactions, willingness and ability to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as a personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year, annual compensation review, recognition rewards, annual holiday leave, maternity and paternity leave, Employee Assistance Programme, and priority Pass, and travel upgrades for long haul company events.
