Medical Staffing Coordinator

The Division of Surgery – BHRUT NHS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Medical Staffing Coordinator. This is a critical position that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for medical rostering and staffing coordination.
- Provide administrative support to the General Manager, Service Manager, Clinical Care Group Director, Clinical Director, and Specialty Leads in managing medical staffing.
- Ensure accurate and timely information related to medical staff management, including compliance with New Deal requirements, appraisals, and monitoring leave.
- Work closely with the Clinical Director and General Manager to develop processes that support junior doctors on all issues related to their employment within BHRUT.
- Manage and coordinate annual and study leave, minimizing medical locum usage while ensuring adequate coverage.

Person SpecificationEducation/Qualifications
- Essential: Educated to degree level standard or equivalent training and experience in medical rota co-ordination in an NHS setting.
- Desirable: Previous experience working in medical staffing.
Skills/Abilities
- Essential: Ability to manage and resolve complex staffing issues, using own initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and telephone manner.
Experience/Knowledge
- Desirable: Experience with a flexible workforce role/setting, experience of recruitment and selection in a busy organisation.
