About the Role

This is a cross-site position between the North Tees and the Hartlepool sites, requiring the post holder to have knowledge and understanding of Endoscopy patient pathways to book a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures following endoscopy training.

The post requires the ability to deliver all reception duties, following the appropriate training.

Main Responsibilities

  • Book endoscopy diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Communicate with multi-disciplinary medical and surgical teams
  • Adhere to all Trust and Endoscopy specific policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Ensure high-quality work outputs and meet patient waiting times and pathway targets
  • Identify additional capacity needs and liaise with Endoscopy Coordinators and Admin Lead to organize resources effectively
  • Perform reception duties, including patient arrival and discharge via the Trust's electronic patient record, TrakCare
  • Utilize technologies and equipment to optimum functionality
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and liaise with staff and external service users
  • Support the updating and maintaining of standard operating procedures
  • Organize interpreters according to Trust policies and processes
  • Perform general office duties, including post distribution, housekeeping, filing, photocopying, and stock maintenance
