KIPP NC is a leader in education, providing high-quality learning experiences to students in the Charlotte area. Our team is dedicated to delivering top-tier curriculum in a structured environment and we are looking for an experienced teacher to join us as an Exceptional Children's Teacher (K-4).

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $70,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the KIPP Foundation Provided Curriculum in 9-12 All Subjects.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and create exemplar responses for students.
  • Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and make adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate gradebook records and embrace feedback from colleagues and administrators.

Other Responsibilities: Maintain a clean and organized classroom, build strong relationships with students, families, and staff, and participate in daily school activities. As an EC Teacher, you will work closely with students with disabilities to provide specially designed instruction, utilize general education curriculum, and develop individualized education plans.

Essential Requirements:
  • A commitment to KIPP NC's mission and values.
  • A valid North Carolina teaching license.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant content area.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2 full years of teaching experience in EC/SPED General Curriculum.
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes for historically underserved populations.
