SEN Teaching Opportunity

Smart Teachers is recruiting an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team in Stratford. This is a full-time position that requires a qualified teacher with a passion for SEND education.

Job Overview:

This role involves working with a small class of six students who have a range of complex needs, including profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning disabilities, sensory impairments, and medical conditions. You will be responsible for developing and delivering individualized educational programs to support these students.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver tailored lesson plans that meet the unique needs of each student
  • Support students with sensory impairments and severe learning difficulties
  • Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors effectively, creating a safe and supportive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with support staff and specialists to provide individualized educational support
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching methods to help each child achieve their potential

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), experience working with children who have severe or profound learning difficulties, and a patient, compassionate, and positive teaching approach. They will also possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
