Key Responsibilities- Product Development and Maintenance: Guide the development and maintenance of telecom products to ensure they meet industry standards and customer needs.
- Industry Research and Analysis: Continuously research and stay updated on telecom industry trends, competitor products, and compliance/regulatory mandates to inform product development.
- Product Knowledge Management: Maintain our global telecommunications product knowledge base to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Strategic Project Management: Drive strategic telecommunications projects from beginning to end, making critical decisions under pressure and ambiguity.
- Market Research and Analysis: Perform market research to identify opportunities and challenges to achieve the company's business objectives and growth strategy.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, serving as a subject matter expert for the telecom products in our portfolio.
- Pricing and Packaging: Manage customer-facing telecommunications pricing and packaging to ensure alignment with the broader product pricing strategy.
- Tactical Project Management: Manage tactical projects that influence both telecommunications and related product areas.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist the business with legal, compliance, and regulatory matters, including processes, reports, inquiries, and/or escalations.
- Supplier Management: Coordinate with telecommunications suppliers in aspects including service purchasing, contract negotiations, supplier onboarding, escalations, or vendor performance.
- PSTN and VoIP Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of PSTN products, including call termination and various types of telephone numbers, as well as an understanding of VoIP environment architecture, capabilities, and technical and legal limitations.
- Business and Technical Acumen: A business degree, technical degree, or directly related experience is preferred.
- Regulatory Understanding: Understanding of legal challenges in the telecommunications world, including STIR/SHAKEN, Emergency Services, Robocalling, and Law Enforcement inquiries.
- Call Detail Records and Pricing: Understanding of call detail records and pricing complexities, including domestic vs international calls, Origin-Based (A-number) Pricing, inter/intrastate calls.
- Telephony Architecture: Understanding of telephony architecture and solution offerings for cloud-based SaaS models.
