Job Title: Statutory Accounting Specialist

At Bio-Rad, we are seeking a highly skilled Statutory Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing statutory compliance for EMEA, ensuring timely reporting for tax and other compliance requirements, and working closely with other functions to service the commercial business and support management decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure statutory ledger is reconciled to US GAAP with minimal differences and provide insights on its performance.
  • Work closely with the Tax team to support US GAAP Tax provisioning and preparation of return to provision calculations.
  • Develop a sound understanding of how the group operates in terms of finance, operationally, and commercially.
  • Support transformation & process improvement initiatives, particularly with automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
Requirements:
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA and International equivalents).
  • Strong statutory audit background from practice, preferably from Big 4 or any top 10 accounting firms.
  • Excellent Excel skills and ability to work flexibly in an ever-changing work environment.
  • Good written and verbal English language skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP desirable.
  • Languages (German/French/Dutch or other) desirable but not essential.
