Job Title: Statutory Accounting Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Statutory Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring statutory compliance for EMEA, including the preparation of financial statements, overseeing the statutory audit, and ensuring timely reporting for tax and other compliance requirements in the respective jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reconcile the statutory ledger to USGAAP with minimal differences and provide insights into its performance.
  2. Collaborate with the Tax team to support USGAAP Tax provisioning and preparation of return to provision calculations.
  3. Develop a deep understanding of our group's finance, operational, and commercial activities to add value to audits, explain financial data, key KPIs, and year-on-year variances.

Requirements:

  1. Professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA and International equivalents) and a bachelor or masters level degree.
  2. Strong statutory audit background from practice, preferably from Big 4 or any top 10 accounting firms.
  3. Excellent team player with ability to work flexibly in an ever-changing work environment and good Excel skills.
  4. Good written and verbal English language skills essential.
  5. Knowledge of SAP desirable.
  6. Languages (German/French/Dutch or other) desirable but not essential.
