We are seeking a highly skilled Statutory Accounting Professional to join our team at Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing statutory compliance for EMEA, ensuring timely reporting, and working closely with other functions to support commercial business and management decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Own the statutory ledger, ensuring it is reconciled to USGAAP with minimal differences, and provide insights on its performance in terms of profitability and transfer pricing rules.
- Ensure statutory deadlines are met, particularly for federal filings, to avoid negative impacts on the business.
- Collaborate with the Tax team to support USGAAP Tax provisioning and preparation of return to provision calculations.
- Develop a deep understanding of the group's finance, operational, and commercial activities to add value to audits, explain financial data, and provide key KPIs and year-on-year variances.
- Proactively propose solutions and recommendations to enhance processes, support transformation and process improvement initiatives, and ensure best practices are adopted.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA and International equivalents) and a bachelor or masters-level degree.
- Strong statutory audit background from practice, preferably from Big 4 or top 10 accounting firms.
- Excellent team player with ability to work flexibly in an ever-changing work environment, good Excel skills, and good written and verbal English language skills.
- Proven track record of identifying and remediating problems and solving issues.
- Knowledge of SAP desirable, and languages (German/French/Dutch or other) desirable but not essential.
