Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) School in Gateshead. The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, experience working with children and young people who require additional support, and a passion for education.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students in KS2-4, delivering a range of GCSEs and vocational programs, and encouraging students to set high expectations for their future. The role requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students in KS2-4 with their academic and personal development
  • Deliver GCSEs and vocational programs to students
  • Encourage students to set high expectations for their future
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents to achieve student success
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, and parents
Requirements
  • HLTA qualification (Level 2 or 3)
  • Experience working with children and young people who require additional support
  • Passion for education and a commitment to student success
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents
