About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at a great school in North Tyneside. As a key member of our staff, you will provide essential support to students with Special Educational Needs, working closely with classroom teachers to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet individual needs.

Your role will involve providing one-on-one support, leading small intervention groups, and fostering positive relationships with parents, students, and other staff members. You will also be responsible for attending training and professional development sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Requirements
  • Relevant HLTA qualifications
  • 2+ years' experience working with SEN children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to learning
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support students with special educational needs
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Enhanced child-only DBS
