Main Responsibilities

As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will be working on Middleton Ward, supporting patients under the supervision of a qualified nurse. You will be given a comprehensive induction and access to a bespoke training program to help you develop your skills and knowledge within your first year.

You will be expected to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, following the Trust's policies and procedures, and adhering to the philosophy of the department. You will also be required to participate in quality assurance programs and contribute to the promotion of a positive learning environment.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience of caring for patients with different needs and backgrounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Basic computer skills and experience of using IT systems
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualifications
