About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our Endoscopy team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the Endoscopy department, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Support healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care, including assisting with procedures and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Contribute to the collection and labeling of specimens, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient departmental operations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you remain up-to-date with best practices and guidelines.

Person Specification

We are looking for a motivated and empathetic individual with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will have previous experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of patient safety and confidentiality. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
