Job Title: Community Practitioner

Join Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as a Community Practitioner and play a vital role in ensuring the safe movement and handling of patients and staff.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team, developing, implementing, and evaluating safe moving and handling procedures. As a Community Practitioner, you will be responsible for training and supporting staff in best practices to prevent injuries and ensure the safe movement of patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality training to staff, developing training opportunities using technology to improve the delivery of simulated and digital moving and handling learning resources.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality, safe patient care in various clinical settings, including giving advice on complex cases, patient safety, and equipment.
  • Conduct workplace assessments with the Occupational Health and Wellbeing team and departmental managers to assess individuals' ability to undertake workplace activities.
Requirements
  • Registered Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Nurse, or Midwife with a recognized teaching and assessing qualification and teaching experience.
  • Nationally recognized manual handling or inanimate load handling certificate or relevant experience and the willingness to undertake.
  • Evidence of professional development and ability to work within a team to achieve a shared goal.
Desirable Skills
  • Active membership of the National Back Exchange.
