Job Overview:The Senior Production Manager will be responsible for managing a team of Production Managers, ensuring high performance and professional development. The role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in production management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage the entire production process to ensure efficient and timely output of high-quality products.
- Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to meet targets.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Production Managers, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Collaborate with other departments such as Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Engineering to optimize production processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Manage and maintain production equipment, ensuring regular maintenance and timely repairs.
- Analyse production data and prepare reports for senior management.
- Manage resource allocation, including investment requirements to meet production demands.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in production management, preferably within the retail or manufacturing sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and processes.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality control principles.
- Proficiency in production management software and tools.
