Role: Head of Operations
Location: Harlow
Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: £60,000-£75,000

A leading provider of precision sheet metalwork, fabrications, and assemblies is seeking a Head of Operations to drive business growth and excellence. With a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.

About the Role: As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing manufacturing strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.

  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that drive business growth and excellence.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing department, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical compliance and quality standards.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients and prospects, working closely with other colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service.

What We're Looking For:

  1. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  2. Excellent commercial engineering knowledge and experience in implementing lean principles and quality systems.
  3. Proven skills in people management, with the ability to deploy effective measures of performance.
  4. Basic financial understanding, including cost calculation and margin analysis.
  5. Self-organised, with excellent time management and a positive outlook.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/MRP systems.
