About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to join our Transaction Banking team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our clients and the financial markets are protected from compliance risks.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert advice and guidance on compliance matters related to Transaction Banking, including client interactions, new business initiatives, and significant business changes.
  2. Partner with business teams to ensure that testing and ongoing monitoring properly considers and mitigates compliance risks.
  3. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practice standards for Transaction Banking.
  4. Drive control analysis and assessments for new business initiatives within Transaction Banking.
  5. Enhance existing monitoring and controls to mitigate risk and reflect regulatory changes.
  6. Design and implement live and online training on applicable compliance and regulatory requirements.
  7. Interact with various internal teams, including Legal, Internal Audit, Treasury, Operations, Engineering, and Conflicts Resolution Group, as well as external advisors, clients, and counterparties.
  8. Monitor the regulatory landscape to anticipate and implement changes to our compliance program.
  9. Analyze and form views on new clients and business and the associated compliance, regulatory, and reputational risks for Firm committees.
  10. Execute compliance risk assessments.
  11. Deliver management information to compliance management for use in Board, regulator, and governance communications.
  12. Leverage technology to facilitate monitoring and reporting of compliance risk.
  13. Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries and investigations.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience in compliance, legal, regulation, or related business side experience in payments, deposits, corporate cash management, transaction banking, treasury services.
  3. Strong intellectual curiosity and interest in payments and corporate cash management, as well as learning new things.
  4. Knowledge of UK and EU regulatory obligations relating to payments.
  5. Strong project management, analytical, and functional skills.
  6. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
