Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace, they are seeking a driven and ambitious Technical Manager to join their business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote quality awareness and implement quality improvement projects throughout the business.
- Implement the QA and QC strategy for the site.
- Track and report on site KPIs related to quality, both internally and externally, in collaboration with production.
- Investigate customer complaints and manage the complaints reduction program.
- Implement the HACCP program within the units.
- Provide best practice advice and solutions to maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards for both people and the environment.
- Oversee quality protocols including Operator PQC checks, Central Kitchen PQC, Quality Investigation Reports, metal detection, and pre-startup checks.
- Control the collation, reporting, and corrective actions of held stock.
- Ensure the Quality Team provides appropriate training to all levels of factory personnel.
- Address specification and non-conforming materials issues, including isolations, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and preventative measures.
- Identify quality and food safety best practices and lead the development of QA and innovation teams.
- Monitor risk management activities.
- Oversee factory-based root cause analyses (RCAs).
- Coordinate onsite audits and customer visits.
- Implement and adhere to customer codes of practice on site.
- Collaborate with the team to integrate HACCP flow and risk assessment.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have food manufacturing experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of quality and food safety principles.
