Job Description

Job Title: Technical Manager

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000

About the role:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Manager to join our team at Henderson Brown. Our client is a leading food business that supplies to major retailers, and we are looking for someone to help drive quality and food safety excellence throughout the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Promote quality awareness and implement quality improvement projects.
  • Implement the QA and QC strategy for the site.
  • Track and report on site KPIs related to quality, both internally and externally, in collaboration with production.
  • Investigate customer complaints and manage the complaints reduction program.
  • Implement the HACCP program within the units.
  • Provide best practice advice and solutions to maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards.
  • Oversee quality protocols, including Operator PQC checks and Quality Investigation Reports.
  • Control the collation, reporting, and corrective actions of held stock.
  • Ensure the Quality Team provides appropriate training to all levels of factory personnel.
  • Address specification and non-conforming materials issues, including isolations and corrective actions.
  • Identify quality and food safety best practices and lead the development of QA and innovation teams.
  • Monitor risk management activities and oversee factory-based root cause analyses.
  • Coordinate onsite audits and customer visits.
