Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Deputy Manager at our Emotional Wellbeing Assessment Home. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the lives of children and young people aged 8-18.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience in supervising and mentoring staff. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered, maintaining a safe and supportive environment, and promoting the independence and wellbeing of our service users.

About the Role
  • Lead and manage a team of staff to deliver high-quality care and support to children and young people.
  • Conduct regular staff supervisions and provide coaching and development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintenance tasks.
  • E nsure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to, and that all necessary records are maintained.
  • Maintain knowledge and expertise in OFSTED Regulations and Quality Standards, working towards achieving outstanding ratings.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare.
  • A minimum of 1 year's supervisory and shift leader experience in a Children's Residential setting.
  • Knowledge and experience of recording and reporting, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time permanent position, offering a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life assurance, and access to training and development opportunities.
