About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Respiratory Physician to join our team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Respiratory Team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory services.
Main Responsibilities
- To provide specialist respiratory care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of respiratory conditions.
- To work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.
- To participate in the development and implementation of respiratory services, including the design and delivery of educational programs.
- To contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies related to respiratory care.
- To participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
Requirements
- MRCP (UK) or an equivalent qualification.
- SCE in respiratory medicine.
- GMC Registration.
- Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register for both Respiratory and General Internal Medicine via one of the following: a) Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) (the proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview) b) Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR).
- Satisfactory training in and General Internal Medicine.
- Involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate education.
- Wide knowledge of Respiratory and General Internal Medicine. Able to give expert opinion.
- Independent Bronchoscopy and pleural skills including ultrasound.
