Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Respiratory Physician to join our team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with our Respiratory Team, comprising fourteen Respiratory Consultants, to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our respiratory services.

Main Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert care to patients with respiratory conditions, including general medicine accreditation
  • Working closely with our Respiratory Team to develop and implement respiratory services
  • Participating in undergraduate and postgraduate education, including teaching and training
  • Contributing to the development of our respiratory services, including clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate must have:

  • MRCP (UK) or an equivalent qualification
  • SCE in respiratory medicine
  • GMC Registration
  • Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register for both Respiratory and General Internal Medicine via one of the following: a) Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) (the proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of the interview) b) Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR)
