Waste Management Professional

We are seeking an experienced Waste Management Professional to lead our in-house waste services team and contribute to the development of our long-term waste strategies.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of waste collection services, working closely with our existing management team.
- Aligning our service operations with our city's climate change objectives and wider strategic plans.
- Developing and managing commercial elements of our service, including paid-for garden waste and trade waste business.
- Contract development and management.
With a strong background in waste management and excellent communication skills, you will have a proven track record in delivering safe, efficient, and compliant waste collection services, ideally within a local authority setting.
You will also have experience in developing and implementing waste strategies and policies for public sector organizations, as well as a good understanding of key drivers and legislation for safe and legal waste collection operations.
