Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly and Test Technician to join our Transducer Products team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the assembly and testing of transducers, ensuring they meet the required performance and quality levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test transducers, including load cells and extensometers, using the latest relevant assembly processes and drawings.
  • Correctly assemble and test associated test load strings and test fixtures and jigs.
  • Diagnose faults in units under test.
  • Inspect and pack customer orders in accordance with current procedures.
  • Report faults and quality issues using Agile.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Contribute to the improvement of assembly and test processes.
  • Occasionally visit customer sites to assist with installation and commissioning of systems.
Requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of hand tools and tool selection.
  • Quality focus and attention to detail for small assemblies.
  • Electronic testing and fault diagnosis to component level.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering, assembly, and manufacturing drawings.
  • Computer literacy with data entry skills in MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Good physical health and fitness due to handling and moving heavy items.
  • Electro-mechanical or electronic wiring background.
Working Conditions
  • Normal factory environment with occasional exposure to the open air.
  • Working days Monday to Friday inclusive.
