Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Beverage to join our team at Diageo. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and leading our food and beverage operations to deliver world-class standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership and direction to our food and beverage team, ensuring they are fully briefed and equipped to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Customer Experience: Anticipate and respond to customer expectations, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
  • Operations Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage department, including rostering, stock control, and dining reservation management.
  • Financial Management: Support the F&B Manager in monitoring and managing the financial performance of the department, including labor budgeting and sales results.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Oversee compliance with food safety, health and safety, and other legislation, introducing and embedding procedures to prevent potential risks.
  • Training and Development: Assist with training and staff development, continuously improving personal development growth and delivering in-house and external training.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of three years management experience within a hospitality environment.
  • Qualifications: Relevant hospitality or business qualification.
  • Skills: Administration and rostering skills, expertise knowledge of all aspects of F&B management, and a proven track record of hitting world-class standards.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work at pace, and a proven track record of delivering against challenging budgets.
