Job Opportunity: Hospitality and Catering Trainer

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Hospitality and Catering Trainer to join our team at HMYOI Wetherby. As a Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, learner-focused vocational training in Hospitality and Catering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver vocational training in Hospitality and Catering to groups of learners.
  • Develop and implement training programs that meet the needs of learners.
  • Work with industry professionals to provide learners with real-world experience and opportunities for employment.
  • Monitor and track learner progress against course criteria.
Requirements:
  • Service experience in Hospitality and Catering.
  • Flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to track and monitor learner progress against course criteria.
  • At least 2 years' experience in the relevant vocational area.
  • Willingness to gain Award in Education within 6 months.
  • Willingness to gain TAQA assessment qualification within probation.
  • Commitment to gain subject-specific qualification to allow training to Level 3 within 2 years.
  • Commitment to gain assessor award required by relevant Awarding Bodies within 1 year.
  • Hold at least a Level 1 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy or be willing to commit to gaining the qualification(s) within 1 year.
