Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to take on a key leadership role within our Children's Services department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction and professional clinical leadership to the service.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership, enthusiasm, and strategic skills to help solve challenges and shape the future of the service. They will be welcoming, with a positive approach to seeing children and young people with a range of presentations within our core service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for holding a caseload, supporting new assessments and reviews, and providing clinical leadership and support for local and whole service multidisciplinary teams (MDTs). They will also be expected to work flexibly to meet service needs and have the ability to travel.

We encourage those wishing to work part-time or in a job share to apply. Previous knowledge of healthcare systems would be beneficial, although training will be provided. The ability to work with GMC guidance for working in multi-agency and multi-disciplinary teams is essential.

The role will involve delivering high-quality direct clinical care to diverse communities across the city, ensuring the smoothest journey possible for our service users. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of clinical record keeping and supporting effective and collaborative clinical and operational decision-making.
