Job Title: Software Security Specialist

Company Overview: BAE Systems is a leading defence company that designs, builds and integrates military aircraft, naval ships, submarines and electronic systems for air, land and sea.
Salary: The estimated salary for this role is around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct security threat and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in software systems.
  • Develop and implement initial security requirements and control groups to mitigate risks.
  • Design and execute security assurance strategies to ensure the integrity of software systems.
  • Manage security engineering planning to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

About You:

  • You will have a deep understanding of the engineering lifecycle and be able to apply this knowledge to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Experience with technical controls and a strong knowledge of security frameworks are essential.
  • Familiarity with MOD defence domain knowledge and technical writing skills are highly desirable.

You will be part of a dynamic team designing, building and integrating submarine platforms for the Royal Naval fleet. Your expertise will ensure that submarine systems and products are developed to support secure and resilient product delivery.
