We're looking for a skilled Software Engineering Specialist to join our team at Sainsbury's Tech in Coventry, UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing high-performance web frontends using cutting-edge technologies like next.js, react.js, redux, and TypeScript.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer to contribute to the development of innovative software solutions that enhance Sainsbury's Group capabilities. You'll work closely with our product technical roadmap team to design and implement services and internal frameworks that meet the company's needs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop High-Performance Web Frontends: You'll use your expertise in next.js, react.js, redux, and TypeScript to create user-friendly web applications that meet the company's requirements.
  • Contribute to Product Technical Roadmap: You'll work with our product team to identify technical requirements and develop solutions that align with the company's goals.
  • Lead Design and Support Services: You'll lead the design and implementation of services and internal frameworks that enhance Sainsbury's Group capabilities.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Specialist with experience in one or more of the following programming languages: JavaScript, NextJS, ReactJS, Swift/iOS, Android, Kotlin, Java, Springboot, or Golang. Your knowledge of engineering principles and practices will cover architectural principles, software design and implementation, security, cloud, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.

In addition to your technical skills, we're looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering solutions to customers, owning the whole SDLC, and living the DevSecOps principles. If you have a passion for emerging tech and want to help the team deliver, we should be talking.
