Junior Finance Administrator Trainee

We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our team as a Junior Finance Administrator Trainee. As a trainee, you will work closely with experienced members of the finance team to develop your skills and knowledge in finance administration.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the finance department with various administrative tasks.
  • Managing Purchase Ledger and Xero accounting software.
  • Entering and processing supplier and subcontractor invoices.
  • Reconciling financial statements and updating supplier and customer records.
  • Performing general office scanning and filing, processing supplier and subcontractor payments, and preparing and sending remittances.
  • Identifying and addressing accounting discrepancies and managing the Finance department's email inbox.
  • Distributing the company's post and reporting on the status of accounts payable to the Finance Manager.
  • Updating internal accounting databases and spreadsheets.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous Accounts/Finance Administration experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Purchase Ledger experience is required.
  • Xero accounting experience is advantageous.
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is necessary.
  • Strong numerical and data entry skills are required.
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills are essential.
  • A well-presented and customer-focused attitude is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
  • The ability to multi-task is essential.

Estimated salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience.
