About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our Purchasing team and drive the efficient flow of parts from suppliers to customers.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimising our supply chain for efficiency and cost effectiveness, while ensuring alignment with our commitment to ESG principles.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Purchasing function, including analysis of supply chain metrics, costs, lead times, and service levels.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies and process improvements to enhance supply chain capabilities and reduce environmental impact.
  • Implement sourcing strategies with new and existing suppliers to ensure cost-effective material acquisition.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance, ethical sourcing practices, and alignment with our UN Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Develop supply chain contingency plans and implement risk management programs.
  • Manage demand forecasting and inventory planning.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and manage supplier relationships.
  • Manage tenders and inter-departmental liaison with relevant stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Background
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record of optimising processes and driving efficiency.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or qualified/part-qualified CIPS.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading a team.
  • Genuine interest in procurement practices and sustainability.
  • Strategic knowledge of supply chain management.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, confident, and proactive.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Effective team player.
  • Change champion.
  • Good IT, literacy, numerical, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
