Senior/Associate Town Planner Job Description

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior/Associate Town Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urban and regional planning, with experience in conducting research and analysis on land use, zoning, transportation, and environmental factors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple urban and regional planning projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. They will also be required to inform planning decisions with data-driven insights, taking into account local policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple urban and regional planning projects
  • Conduct research and analysis on land use, zoning, transportation, and environmental factors
  • Inform planning decisions with data-driven insights
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Degree in Town Planning or a related field
  • Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or eligibility for membership
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the UK
  • Strong understanding of UK planning laws and regulations
