Britsoccrim is a renowned research institution in the field of digital innovation, and we are currently seeking a skilled Research Administrator to join our team. This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to cutting-edge research projects focused on digital technologies and numerical tools for underground construction processes.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be part of a major research project aimed at developing innovative solutions for applications such as tunnelling, deep excavations, and shaft construction. You will design and develop digital technologies (e.g., machine learning, digital twinning) and/or numerical methods (e.g., multi-physics modelling) aimed at optimising underground construction processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leveraging developed tools to enhance sustainability, productivity, and safety in construction projects
  • Applying these advanced technologies to real-world construction challenges through collaboration with industry partners and the use of real-world project data
About You

We are looking for candidates with a PhD in construction engineering, civil engineering, information engineering or a cognate discipline. Previous experience of digital and/or numerical research work for underground construction is highly desirable. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English are essential.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary ranging from £32,296 to £45,163 per annum, depending on your level of experience. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work on transformative research projects that have a significant impact on the construction industry.
