About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Health Psychologist to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist in clinical health psychology, you will provide psychological assessments and interventions to patients with chronic lung conditions, working across outpatient clinics and inpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of clients referred to the clinical health psychology service, utilizing complex data from various sources.
  • Develop and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of clients' mental health problems, based on an appropriate conceptual framework.
  • Provide specialist psychological interventions to patients, carers, and families, as well as multidisciplinary working and consultation to staff.
  • Liaise with community mental health services, teach and train staff, and participate in audit and research activities.
Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology or its equivalent.
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings.
  • Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialized psychological therapies in specific difficult-to-treat groups.
  • High-level knowledge of the theory and practice of at least two specialized psychological therapies.
